Faith is more than just a belief; it’s a lifeline.
It is trusting God when circumstances seem impossible, knowing deep down that He is in control.
As Hebrews 11:1 reminds us, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things
not seen."
As 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
Throughout this life, faith becomes our anchor. Our journey, full of highs and lows, requires faith to see us through. It is faith that sustains us when the path is unclear and the road difficult. Faith is not just a part of the journey—it’s what gets us to the destination.
How to Use Faith in Daily Life

Faith is meant to be active, not passive. It’s the decision to trust God when life feels unpredictable or even unbearable. Here are ways you can walk in faith daily:
Pray and believe: Bring everything to God in prayer and trust Him with the outcome. When you pray, believe that God hears you and will answer, even if it’s not in the way you expect.

Lean on God’s promises: Lean on Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” This verse reminds us to surrender control to God and trust that He guides our steps, even when we don’t fully understand the plan. Scripture is filled with reminders of God’s faithfulness. Speak His Word over your life when doubt creeps in.

Rest in God’s peace: Sometimes, faith looks like calmness in the storm. Rest in the peace that God is working, even when you don’t have all the answers.

When Faith Was My Only Option

I’ve had to rely on faith more times than I can count, but one instance stands out in my heart. My daughter was born prematurely and had to be placed in the NICU for extensive care. Each day, I prayed fervently for her healing and for her strength, and I believed with all my heart that God had His hand over her life.
But one night, around 3 AM, I got the dreaded phone call I never thought I'd receive. My phone rang, waking me from sleep, and on the other end, the voice was heavy with sorrow. They told me that my sweet daughter had become unresponsive. Her heart had stopped. The doctors tried everything they could, but nothing was working. They told me and my husband to come to the hospital—ready to say our final goodbyes.

I was stunned. It felt like my faith, my prayers, and all of it were being tested at that moment. But somehow, in the middle of that heart-wrenching news, I sat up in bed, and instead of panicking, I prayed. Philippians 4:6-7 came alive in my heart: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
The peace that God gave me in that moment was beyond anything I had experienced. My husband and I got dressed, and as we drove to the hospital, he prayed, too, speaking words of hope over our daughter’s life. He said, “Everything will be okay.” And strangely, I believed him.

As we drove in the quiet of the night, I remember feeling this overwhelming peace—a peace I had never experienced before. There was no fear, no anxiety, just a calmness that everything would be all right, even when I couldn’t see it. It was a peace that could only come from God. I didn’t know the outcome, but I knew that God was in control. I believed this wasn’t the end of my daughter’s story.
When we arrived at the hospital, we prepared ourselves for whatever lay ahead. But God had other plans. By the time we reached the NICU, the doctors told us that our daughter had miraculously responded. Her heart had started beating again. The staff couldn’t explain it, but I knew—it was the power of God and the result of relentless faith. He had breathed life back into her.
Conclusion: Holding On to Faith

Faith doesn’t always remove the mountains, but it gives us the strength to climb them. It sustains us through the most challenging seasons and gives us peace when the world says we should be afraid. On this journey, we need faith to make it through. It’s not optional—it’s essential. And when we lean on that faith, trusting God’s plan, we will see His hand at work, even in the most impossible situations.
As Romans 8:28 reminds us, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Even when we can’t see the whole picture, God works all things together for our good.
So, whatever you face today, know that faith isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about trusting the One who does. Keep praying, keep believing, and hold on to the peace that surpasses all understanding—God’s got you. And He’s got this.
